What Chefs Need to Know About Adopting a DC School


You have heard about First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Chefs Move! to Schools ” program, now you want to help and adopt a school. RAMW and Educated Eats have made the Move! to be a source of information to make this program a success in the DC Metro Area.


What to do next? Well, we have the resources and contacts for you.


Checklist for Chefs:

  • Complete the Sign-up Form to be included in the Chefs Move to Schools program.
  • Update your Chef Profile once you are matched with a school in order to receive important communications from the program staff.

As a reminder, all participating chefs are considered volunteers and must complete the DCPS volunteer application. This includes presenting proof of a negative TB test, being fingerprinted, and processed through the volunteer office. Read more...
