RAMW is the voice of restaurants in our jurisdictions and beyond, monitoring legislation that affects your business. From fighting burdensome legislation, menu labeling and increased taxation to working on such issues as transportation, valet parking, health and alcohol regulations, we work closely with legislators expressing the concerns of our members. RAMW promotes our members through our website, frequent customer referrals, our extremely successful bi-annual Restaurant Weeks and many more promotional opportunities such as the monthly e-newsletter The Cloak Room – the latest edition is located on our website. The RAMW Restaurant Awards Gala, “The RAMMYS ” has become one of the areas’ most anticipated and glamorous evenings with amazing publicity garnered for the nominees and the winners. Our Monthly Socials have become must-attend events because they provide relaxed networking opportunities with your fellow restaurateurs as well as with associate members who also understand the value of supporting RAMW.

In addition to "fighting for the right to eat, drink and be merry. Hospitably, responsibly and profitably"®, RAMW has partnered with our Endorsed Providers to provide our members cost-saving programs and services to aide in the continuing effort to run a better business. The Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington Education Foundation (501c3) provides the resources for continuous training and development of the skills necessary for entry and growth within the food service and hospitality industries. RAMW provides training and development courses, seminars and materials for members at discounted rates.
