Chef Mike Isabella opened G next to his northern Greek restaurant, Kapnos along the Fourteenth Street corridor in July 2013. The dual concept serves sandwiches, salads and casual fare by day and a four-course Italian tasting menu by night.
The sandwich menu is available for dine-in or carry out 11am to 5pm daily (take out extended to 9pm on Sundays). The four-course tasting menu is offered evenings Wednesday through Sunday.
Each week, Chef Isabella presents Sunday Gravy, a recreation of his family’s traditional end-of-the-week feasts. Expect classics like crispy calamari, a classic Caesar salad, house made spaghetti served with pomodoro sauce and a traditional meat gravy with meatballs, sausage and pork shoulder.
All tasting menus are available for $40, exclusive of beverage, tax and gratuity. In order for us to honor all reservations in a timely manner, we request our guests adhere to a 2 hour dining schedule.
