Maryland minimum wage bill passes

By Ryan Sharrow and Tucker Echols , Washington Business Journal On the last day of the 2014 General Assembly, state lawmakers gave final passage to a bill that will eventually raise the Maryland minimum wage to $10.10 an hour, eased the penalties for possessing marijuana, but were less generous to production companies that choose to film in Maryland. The minimum wage bill, previously passed by the Senate Saturday, was approved Monday by the House and heads to Gov. Martin O'Malley for his final signature.
