The Citi Open® Dining Passport for Players and Fans

Presented by Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW)

The excitement is building for the 2015 Citi Open and RAMW is offering a way for you to get in on the action! From August 1st to August 9th, the Citi Open will be taking place in DC.

Created in 1969, this ATP World Tour 500 & WTA International Tournament is held at the Rock Creek Tennis Center in northwest Washington, DC and has an annual attendance of 70,000 spectators over the nine days. The Citi Open is one of only thirteen 500 level tournaments worldwide (the only 500 in the US) and is recognized as one of the top 20 tournaments on the ATP World Tour.  With the addition of an International Level WTA women’s tournament since 2012, the Citi Open provides fans the chance to see both of the men’s and women’s top tennis stars (one of only four combined tournaments in the US).

We invite you to take full advantage of this opportunity to show the incredible line up of Tournament players what the DC dining scene has to offer. The Citi Open Dining Passport is a unique tool designed to help the athletes, their families, friends, and fans discover your restaurant.

HOW THE PASSPORT PROGRAM WORKS:
The Citi Open Dining Passport acts as a voucher for each athlete, and he or she may use the voucher for one (1) free meal at each participating establishment. The free meal consists of at least one appetizer, one entrée, one dessert and one non-alcoholic beverage, including sales tax. Please note that meals are only for the players and do not include alcoholic beverages. The complimentary meal will allow for revenue from the other members of the athlete’s dining party, as well as provide valuable exposure for your restaurant.

RAMW and Citi Open will create excellent exposure for your restaurant, promoting you to the players through the Passport materials, on the Citi Open website, in press releases, on the RAMW website, in media outreach, via social media campaigns and even courtside at the Tournament.

Benefits for participating restaurants include:

  • Inclusion in the Tournament’s PR campaign including Dining Passport press releases and inclusion in all relevant media pitches by Tournament representatives and daily mentions in the media notes during the week of the Tournament.
  • Free Dining Passport program window cling to display in your restaurant (see pictured).
  • Listing as a participating restaurant on the Dining Passport page of CitiOpenTennis.com and RAMW.org.
  • Listing as a participating restaurant on Dining Passport section on on-site Sponsor Board.
  • Listing as a participating restaurant in the Citi Open Dining Passport on video board messages.
  • All participating restaurants included in custom social media campaign on Citi Open and RAMW online platforms.
  • Listing as a participating restaurant in consumer advertising campaign (media outlet TBD).

All restaurants participating in the Dining Passport program will be able to join a consumer-facing media promotion designed to drive tennis fans and ticket-holders to your restaurant. This could include a special offer such as a free dessert or appetizer with the purchase of a meal, or the restaurant could present a Citi Open themed cocktail to promote the tournament (in order to participate in the special consumer offer, the restaurant must take part in the Dining Passport program).

Restaurants participating in the Dining Passport will receive four (4) tickets to any three (3) sessions of your choice (sessions 1 – 11) August 1-9, 2015 for all participating restaurant locations.
