Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington Hospitality Technical Assistance Micro-Grant Application
The Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), through a grant funded by the District of Columbia Executive Office of the Mayor – Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED), is awarding $100,000 in one-time microgrants, up to $5,000, to restaurants located in the District of Columbia.
These funds are intended to help restaurants cover eligible operating expenses and invest in workforce development and technical assistance as they continue to recover and strengthen their operations.
The Hospitality Technical Assistance Micro-Grant funds may be used to offset operational expenses incurred between August 11, 2025 and September 30, 2025 such as rent, utilities, labor, and more.
Grant funds cannot be used for the purchase of alcohol, licensing, tax, or debt services.
Important Note on Limited Funds
Because funding is limited, we ask that only restaurants with a clear and immediate need apply so those facing the greatest challenges can be prioritized. RAMW is working with District partners on additional relief options, and we encourage stable businesses to consider those opportunities when they become available.
Who is eligible to apply?
- Independently owned or locally operated restaurants located in the District of Columbia.
- Must be an active RAMW member or willing to join prior to funding.
- Must hold a valid DC business license and be in good standing with all District agencies (OTR, ABCA, DLCP, etc.).
- Must have at least one paid employee other than the owner.
