2013 Winter Restaurant Week Dates Announced

January 7, 2013
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Washington, DC (January 7, 2013) - Foodies and deal seekers rejoice: The Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) today announced the dates for its upcoming winter Restaurant Week promotion. From Monday, February 4 to Sunday, February 10, area eaters will be able to enjoy the best that the region has to offer at incredible rates; three-course, prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus are priced at $20.13 and $35.13, respectively. The full list of participating restaurants is available online at www.ramw.org/restaurantweek .

While the deal remains the same, the semi-annual event has taken on a new look for the New Year. Along with a redesigned logo, the 2013 Winter Restaurant Week will also be promoted with a brand new website where diners can explore what Restaurant Week has to offer and book their reservations online through a partnership with OpenTable.

“We receive a considerable amount of positive feedback from both the winter and summer Restaurant Week promotions,” said RAMW President Kathy Hollinger. “We wanted to create a more user friendly and engaging experience for Restaurant Week patrons, participating restaurants and sponsors. With a great team of designers and support from our sponsors, like American Express , we were able to achieve this goal.”

Rounding out the season’s most sumptuous deal is the Australia Lamb Contest, sponsored by Meat & Livestock Australia. Over the course of Restaurant Week, participating restaurants will be encouraged to feature an Australian lamb dish on either of their prix-fixe menus. Restaurant Week diners will be encouraged to vote for their favorite lamb dish on Meat & Livestock Australia’s Facebook page. The prizes for these “bleating” hearts: the winning restaurant scores a trip for two to Australia and a diner, who voted for the blue ribbon creation, will be chosen to have an Australian lamb dinner prepared by the winning restaurant for them and nine friends.

As always, Restaurant Week diners are encouraged to book their seats early and online at www.ramw.org/restaurantweek. RAMW welcomes diners to share their Restaurant Week experiences on Twitter and Instagram using hashtag #DMVRW.
