nopa Kitchen+Bar Announces A New Lunch at The Bar Menu

Washington, DC, (February 6, 2014)Restaurateur Ashok Bajaj is pleased to announce a new winter savings lunch option to be enjoyed exclusively at nopa Kitchen+Bar’s handsome bar/lounge, every Monday through Friday, from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm The 160-seat American brasserie located just north of Pennsylvania Avenue at 800 F Street, NW, is in the heart of Penn Quarter. The stunning new restaurant has a light-filled inviting bar/lounge wrapped in windows with ample seating, perfect for meeting friends or colleagues for bite of lunch.  
 
Executive Chef Greg McCarty’s special lunch menu invites guests to choose from six dishes along with a glass of wine or any non-alcoholic beverage. One can pair their meal with a glass of wine such as Kunde Cabernet Sauvignon, 2010, Sonoma or with A King Estates, "Acrobat" Pinot Gris, 2012, Willamette, with options changing regularly. This new lunch is also easy on the wallet, priced at $17 (excluding tax and gratuity), and will be available beginning Monday, February 10.  The six crowd-pleasing menu choices include the following:

Chef McCarty, a graduate of The George Brown Chef School in Toronto, Canada, began his culinary career in the New York City kitchen of Jean Georges. He cooked under Chef Vongerichten for six years, working his way up from line cook to executive sous chef of Dune in the Bahamas. The work ethic learned during his tenure with Georges shaped his approach to kitchen management and creativity. In 2005, McCarty returned to Manhattan to open Nobu 57.McCarty worked with renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent on various restaurant projects, and has also managed his own consulting business, before accepting the executive chef position with nopa Kitchen+Bar in the nation’s capital.
