RAMW Announces 2016 Duke Zeibert Capital Achievement Award Recipient

Chef Robert Kinkead to be honored at RAMMY Awards Capital Achievement Reception

WHAT: Chef Robert Kinkead will be honored with the Duke Zeibert Capital Achievement Award at the 2016 RAMMY Awards Capital Achievement Reception on Monday, April 18. His passion and dedication to the restaurant industry, over his 40 plus year career, has brought about some of the most well-known restaurants in metropolitan Washington, DC. Chef Kinkead is a culinary luminary and mentor to many generations of chefs, cooks, and foodservice industry professionals across this region.

The award, named in honor of legendary Washington restaurateur Duke Zeibert, recognizes an individual whose hard work and outstanding initiative has increased the profile and success of the metropolitan Washington foodservice community. The award is determined every year by RAMW’s Executive Committee.

WHO: Duke Zeibert Capital Achievement Award Winner, Restaurant Entrepreneur, Kinkead’s Cookbook Author and Restaurant Business Consultant, Chef Robert Kinkead. 

Named in 1983 to Food & Wine’s Honor Roll of Sixty of the Nation’s Most Promising Culinary Talents, Kinkead has excelled in running and owning a variety of popular restaurants across metropolitan Washington. Kinkead is perhaps most well-known for founding the now legendary Kinkead’s, an American brasserie-style restaurant; both he and Kinkead’s have received virtually every major local and national award in the industry. He has also founded and run a variety of other restaurants throughout his career including Twenty-One Federal, Colvin Run Tavern, Sibling Rivalry, Ancora, and Campono. Kinkead is the author of Kinkead’s Cookbook and recently began his own restaurant consulting business.
