Modena, located at 1100 New York Ave, NW, 20005, (entrance on 12th and H Streets side) will be offering a selection of prix fixe menus available during lunch and dinner service for Restaurant Week.  Lunch is priced at $35 per person and dinner is priced at $65 per person (excluding tax and gratuity).  Those who order the $65 three-course dinner menu will choose from an array of modern and classic Italian fare by newly appointed Executive Chef Josh Hunt.  Tempting starters include the Beets & Burrata, roasted red and golden beets, aged balsamic, pickled pears and grilled focaccia; Short Rib Crochetta, braised peas & greens, potato and Meyer lemon aioli, as well as Crispy Fried Artichokes with roman artichokes, Meyer lemon aioli, basil oil and tempura.  Highlights from the pasta and entrée sections of the menu include Gnocchi al Tartufo, truffle butter, black trumpet mushrooms and panna gratta; Striped Bass, sun-fried tomato romesco, cauliflower, Meyer lemon purée and brown butter; Braised Pork Coppa, black truffle risotto, charred rapini, pickled artichokes and basil oil, as well as Roasted Chicken Breast with creamy polenta, charred rapini and peppers and red onion agrodolce.  For the perfect ending, a selection of tempting dessert will be available.  Highlights include Caramelized Honey Panna Cotta with mascarpone, fig compote and honey candy; Tiramisù with caramelized white chocolate mousse, mascarpone crema and coffee gelato, as well as Chef’s Selection of Sorbet & Gelati.  Modena will be expanding their Winter Restaurant Week menu, from January 27-February 2.  Lunch is served Tuesday through Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dinner is served Monday, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Tuesday through Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. For reservations or more information call (202) 216-9550 or visit https://www.modenadc.com.
