Piccolina

Restaurant

Piccolina, translates from Italian to little one, will be home to a selection of Centrolina’s mercato operations. With the majority of market operations moving to Piccolina, Centrolina will be expanding their private dining abilities within the restaurant. Chef Amy states, “I’m so thrilled to have the opportunity to grow Centrolina’s presence within CityCenterDC and open Piccolina. I’ve been wanting to explore breadmaking for as long as I can remember, and this space is the perfect venue to experiment. And with the increased dining space within Centrolina, we look forward to hosting and accommodating larger groups and parties in the future.”

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the new market will serve coffee, pastries, and some retail and prepared food items. The wood-fired oven will be central to the culinary programming at Piccolina. Beyond offering an inhouse bread program, led by a locally-based artisan baker, Piccolina will also serve omelets, breakfast crepes, crostatas, and vegetables, all cooked in the wood-fired oven. Guests will now have the option to enjoy the pre-made items, including Chef Amy’s famed eggplant lasagna, hot from the wood-fired oven, or to-go, as they have in the past. Fresh products, such as produce, pasta, sauces, and fish, will continue to be sold at Centrolina.
