Meet Saval Foodservice's New Corporate Chef

Saval Foodservice is pleased to announce the appointment of Ken Plante as their new Corporate Chef. Ken brings a dynamic, innovative energy to the food service business and their customers.

Saval Foodservice, is the largest local broad line foodservice distributor in Maryland celebrating 86 years of serving the Mid-Atlantic region. Ken will work at customer’s locations as well as in their state of the art culinary center at Saval Foodservice for one on one consultation and developing menu ideas. “We are thrilled to have Ken on our team to collaborate with our clients and showcase the variety of great food products at Saval Foodservice,” states Jay Lim, Vice President of Sales – Saval Foodservice.

Ken studied at the Baltimore International Culinary College and has over 25 years in the culinary world. Most recently he worked as Executive Chef at The Red Star. He has held positions as Sous Chef and Assistant Food and Beverage director at The Belmont and Executive Chef of both Miss Irene’s and The Waterfront Hotel.

Ken has been featured in Style magazine, and recognized several times in the cities Best of pollings.

He has worked with many local charities, and International dignitaries in the Baltimore-Washington DC area including; The Family Tree Maryland, Teach for America Baltimore, Beans and Bread Baltimore, The World Bank and The IMF.
