Nuclear Summit Road Closures March 31-April 1

March 29, 2016

D.C.-area commuters should expect “significant traffic disruptions” between March 31 and April 1 for the 2016 Nuclear Security Summit which is being held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

The biggest impact of the 2016 Nuclear Security Summit on traffic and transit will be in the Mount Vernon Square area, but there are some closings near the White House and in Foggy Bottom.

Metrorail will close the Mount Vernon Square Station for two days, beginning at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30. Yellow and Green line trains will skip the station because the stop is within the secure perimeter for the summit.
