Front of House Receptionist

Cookology is currently looking for Front of House Receptionists (21+) for our location in Ballston Quarter in Arlington, VA. Restaurant or food related experience is preferred but not required.

A Cookology Front of House Receptionist,

- Greets each guest with a warm and sincere welcome
- Educates potential guests on what we do at Cookology and encourages them to take a class with us
- Helps guests in person/on the phone register for Cookology classes
- Demonstrates superb verbal communication skills when speaking to guests and employees
- Is a liaison between Front of House and Back of House employees
- Upsells wine and beer sales during events and classes (Must be 21 to serve wine)/
- Takes direction from superiors when needed

Job Requirements:

We are looking for candidates who can work independently with natural enthusiasm. You must be disciplined and able to multitask while working quickly on your feet. You must be a team player and willing to contribute to the success of the company. Weekend availability is required. We are looking to staff our location in Dulles Town Center but would like candidates with the flexibility to work in our new Arlington location as needed.

Requirements for Being a Successful Cookology Employee:
- Understands and can communicate cooking fundamentals and culinary principles to the general public.
- Can follow directions from peers and superiors
- Must show up for shift on time
- Must show up for shift clean with a clean uniform
- Must be willing to interact with customers with the utmost patience and kindness
