2015 RAMMYS Wine Program of the Year Finalists Shine This Month
Events and Specials Announced at the Region’s Top Wine Destinations May 25-29

Washington, DC (May 20, 2015)—Finalists for the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) 2015 RAMMY Award for Wine Program of the Year have exciting special events and promotions planned for the week of May 25.

Monday, May 25, through Friday, May 29, participating Wine Program of the Year finalists will showcase the quality, diversity, clarity, and value of their outstanding wine program through in-house promotions, reaffirming why they deserve to win one of the region’s premier industry accolades – a RAMMY Award. Guests are encouraged to come out and support their favorite watering hole throughout the week.

The week of May 25, any guest who posts photos at a RAMMYS wine program finalist location (Charlie Palmer Steak, Fiola, Iron Gate, Proof, and The Red Hen) using the Instagram handle @RAMWdc and hashtag #RAMMYSWine will be entered to win a pair of tickets to the 2015 RAMMY Awards Gala on June 7.

Throughout the week of May 25, RAMMYS Wine Program of the Year Finalist Proof will feature six specialty wines by the glass that guests will never see listed again, poured at discounted one-time-only pricing. The wines will reflect the scope of Proof’s unique wine program – exceptional cult wines and little-known but revered small-production wines from more obscure regions. Proof will also offer guest spots by the glass at its sister restaurants, Doi Moi & Estadio, chosen by the Proof team with the other restaurants’ cuisines in mind.

In celebration of being named a RAMMYS Wine Program of the Year Finalist, The Red Hen Beverage Director and Co-Owner Sebastian Zutant will offer several Eastern European wines by the glass in order to support wineries utilizing ancient wine making practices and introduce guests to new wines at an approachable price. Monday, May 25, through Friday, May 29, Sebastian will offer the A Kallmet from Albania and the Tsolikouri from The Republic of Georgia for $9 by the glass, as well as affordably priced selections from Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia, hoping to persuade guests to experience new and different wines.
