Testimonials from prior year winners:

“I Love Korean Food! After winning a Korean food cooking competition in Washington, DC, I had the opportunity to travel to Seoul, South Korea for a four-day whirlwind tour! This provided a wonderful opportunity to learn about Korean cuisine and Korean culture. From culinary classes to tours of the royal Palace, the traditional Bukchon Hanok wooden village, and modern shopping districts, I enjoyed becoming immersed in Korean culture. The Royal Korean meal served banquet style that we shared with our tour guides and other culinary competition winners was a delicious highlight of the trip. I look forward to my next trip to Korea!”  -- Chef Scott Drewno, 2017 K-Food Chef Contest Winner

“I am excited to give back to a program that helped me gain some inspiration for Anju. Korean food for me is unique because of the important use of fermented and pickled foods. They show skill in the use of preservation of foods. Also a great respect of the ingredients to help capture the true essence of the item." – Chef Angel Barrett, 2018 K-Food Chef Contest Winner

The awards ceremony and a light social distance reception will immediately follow the Cook-Off. Ministers from the Korean Embassy and the judges will deliver the prizes.
