About the 2017 DC Jazz Festival

This year marks the 7th annual DC Jazz Festival. The mission of the DC Jazz Festival is based around five goals. To present both world renowned and emerging artists, unify diverse communities, advance jazz and music education for audiences of all ages and background, provide performance opportunities for DC-based Jazz musicians, and highlight DC as a major jazz hub and cultural destination. The DC Jazz Festival is the largest and most diverse music festival in the nation's capital, reaching more than 65,000+ visitors of all ages each June with performances at Yards Park, The Kennedy Center, The Howard Theatre, Sixth & I, UDC/Jazz Alive, Mr. Henry's, and area clubs and restaurants.
