Thunderdome Arcade “Triathlon” & 7th Annual Crab Fest Headline DC Brau Events
During 10th Annual DC Beer Week, August 19 - 26th
Washington, DC -- August, 2018 -- DC Brau is planning to celebrate the 10th Annual DC Beer Week with fun and games and lots of great beer throughout the DMV during the week of August 19th through 26th.
In advance of the debut of a barrel-aged version Your Pet Cow at this year’s GABF in Denver, Jameson US and DC Brau are co-hosting a Spotlight Event at The Eleanor DC on Wednesday, August 22nd. The brewery is also bringing back its ever-popular genuine Crab Fest on Monday of Beer Week at The Quarterdeck Restaurant in Arlington. The full calendar of the brewery’s events for the week follow with more detail:
Sunday - August 19th
LAGER FEST @ City Winery DC - 1 to 5 PM
DC Brau will be among the roster of craft breweries participating in the DC Brewers’ Guild’s inaugural LAGER FEST at City Winery pouring the award-winning Brau Pils and the Tuk Tuk, a rice lager made exclusively for Maketto & the restaurants at The Line Hotel by Erik Bruner-Yang.
Monday - August 20th
7th Annual Genuine CRAB FEST @ The Quarterdeck, Arlington VA - 5 to 10 PM
DC BRAU and the Quarterdeck are teaming up for a 7th time for this epic annual crab-crackin’ get down. Celebrate indigenous beer and these indigenous Mid-Atlantic delicacies at the Quarterdeck Restaurant in Arlington, VA. ALL YOU CAN EAT CRABS for just $50, PLUS DC BRAU $1 DRAFTS//$5 PITCHERS!!! We’ll have Brau Pils, The Public, El Hefe Speaks, and The Citizen on the menu to complement these beauties! Tickets are $50 in advance via Eventbrite; beers and sides sold a la carte.
Tuesday - August 21st
In addition to participating in the City Tap DC Takeover at City Tap House Dupont and Churchkey’s Total Tap Takeover, DC Brau is ready to throw down at Boundary Stone’s 5th Annual BATTLE OF THE BARREL AGED in Bloomingdale with a white wine barrel-aged Brett Saison called Time is a Mortal’s Master. DC Brau is also the featured brewery on Tuesday night pairing dinner menus at Brookland’s Finest throughout the month of August.
Wednesday - August 22nd
THUNDERDOME: An Arcade Game Triathalon @ The Eleanor DC - 6 to 11 PM
For this year’s spotlight event, DC Brau & Jameson Caskmates present THUNDERDOME: An Arcade Game Triathalon at The Eleanor DC. Guests are invited to challenge members of the DC Brau and Jameson crew in rounds of Duckpin Bowling, Skeeball, and Pacman. Beat the brewer at any station to earn a spin of the prize wheel for free drinks and swag. The top two highest scores who beat the brewer at all 3 games will face off playing Mortal Kombat to get their name on the Thunderdome Champion trophy. No cover; must be 21 or older. DC Brau & Jameson Caskmates drink specials, including Space Reaper and Your Pet Cow, will be available all night.
Thursday - August 23rd
DC BATTLE ROYALE @ Roofers Union - 5:30 to 10:30 PM
Help us kill a keg of the Tuk Tuk at Roofers Union’s annual BATTLE ROYALE in Adams Morgan.
The Great DC Brau Cornholio: Brewers & Barflies Cornhole Tournament @ Moreland’s Tavern - 6 to 11 PM
Two-member teams will battle in the first-ever Great DC Brau Cornholio, a single elimination tourney with lots of great beer - including a special keg of Time is a Mortal’s Master and Brau Pils. Contestants vie for a Moreland’s Tavern $150 gift certificate, swag bags and more. Entry is $30 per team. Sign up in advance at https://www.facebook.com/
Friday - August 24th
Local Beers & Seafood Boil @ Brookland Pint
DC Brau will have an extensive list of rare beers on the menu for this feast, including Barrel-Aged Doctor’s Dubbel, Time is a Mortal’s Master, and Your Trip is Short (a dry-hopped saison barrel fermented on neutral oak), as well as Space Reaper, Brau Pils, El Hefe Speaks, Public, Citizen and Corruption.
The DC Brau Tasting Room will have extended hours for HALF PRICED PINT NIGHT on Friday of DC Beer Week from 3 to 11 PM. DaddyO’s Craft Salsa will be on site with samples till 9 PM.
Saturday - August 25th
Brunch Flights & Bites @ Brookland’s Finest
Start Saturday of DC Beer Week at brunch in Brookland with rare selections, including Time is a Mortal’s Master, Rose du Gose, and Your Pet Cow!
Beer Floats with Ruby Scoops @ Pizzeria Paradiso, Georgetown - 11:30 AM to 5 PM
Satisfy your sweet tooth with a beer float featuring Space Reaper and Ruby Scoops ice cream. Pizzeria Paradiso will also have a flight of all four floats featuring beers from DC Brau, Atlas Brew Works, Right Proper, and 3 Stars Brewing Co.
Brewers on the Block @ Union Market - 6 to 9 PM
We’re closing out the week with a bunch of our brewery friends at Buffalo & Bergen/Suburbia’s Brewers on the Block pouring Space Reaper and Time is a Mortal’s Master. Tickets are available at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/
