RIS to Make Union Market Debut with Holiday Pop-Up

November 18, 2013

On Tuesday, November 19, Ris Lacoste, Chef/Owner of RIS will launch a holiday pop-up at Union Market (1309 5th Street, NE) before the highly anticipated opening of RIS at Union Market in mid-December.  The limited time stall will feature variations from the restaurant’s popular “Sides & Pies” menu, a seasonal RIStoGO program that offers holiday dishes available for pick-up through the end of the month.

RIS’ pop-up menu will include kitchen staples like chicken stock, Champagne vinaigrette, tomato sauce, and seasonal bakery specialties such as cranberry orange bread, individual pies, and chocolate macaroons. On Tuesday, November 26 and Wednesday, November 27, the menu will expand to include Thanksgiving sides in pint ($8) and quart ($15) sizes.  Sides will include sausage sage bread stuffing, collard greens, turkey gravy, and cranberry sauce. For $18, choose from pumpkin, apple, or pecan pies to round out the perfect holiday meal with family and friends.

Allison Cortese, current Dining Room Manager at RIS, will run the limited time pop-up Tuesday through Sunday at 11am before heading Ris at Union Market full-time.
