Managers, staff, and promotors of DC-based restaurant, bar, and nightlife venues are invited to a free training session to learn how to use naloxone, an opioid overdose-reversing medication, and the importance of having it on-site.

Naloxone, also known as Narcan®, is used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. The Department of Behavioral Health has partnered with the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington to make naloxone and educational materials in English and Spanish available at no cost to restaurants across the District of Columbia.
This service is ONLY available to establishments in the District of Columbia – we cannot mail to addresses outside of DC. Kits are shipped within 5-7 business days using discrete packaging. To request naloxone by mail, please fill out and submit the form here.
