Ring in the New Year in True Turkish Style With Four-Course Prix Fixe Menu and Wine Specials at Ankara

December 31, 2015 - 12:00am

Washington, DC (December 1, 2015) - The Turks are known for their love of New Year’s Eve or Yeni Yıl Arifesi.  In honor of this most beloved tradition, Ankara is celebrating in true Turkish style - with an abundance of food designed to be shared with friends and family. Guests can enjoy a four-course prix fixe dinner menu featuring customer favorites and specials along with specially priced wine selections chosen to pair beautifully with the cuisine. The menu is priced at $55 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Seatings are at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

There is a popular Turkish saying  ‘seneye nasıl girerseniz o şekilde devam eder,’ which roughly translates to ‘how you enter the New Year will be the way it continues’.  To ensure guests ring in the new year in a most celebratory way, Ankara is offering a complimentary glass of Ridgeview ‘Fitzrovia’ Rosé Brut from England – beloved by the Queen and served to President Obama at Buckingham Palace a few years ago - to start the evening. Guests will also enjoy Turkish coffee and Belgian-style Dark Chocolate from Divine Chocolate, a farmer-owned fair trade specialty chocolatier based in D.C., to end the meal on a sweet note.
