June 29, 2010
Restaurants and Parking Garages Offer Hot Summer Specials

The Golden Triangle Business Improvement District (BID) is pleased to announce an innovative summer program with more than 25 restaurants and XX parking garages in the Golden Triangle of the central business district participating in this creative combination offer for evening diners.

From  Thursday, July 1 through Saturday, August 14, some of DC’S finest restaurants are offering enticing special offers to diners, including some “buy one, get one free” deals on meals.

Participating parking garages are charging $5 from 5 p.m. until closing.

For a list of the participating restaurants and garages, please visit the Golden Triangle BID’s website www.gtbid.com.

For the over six weeks of the “Dine Golden” promotion patrons will find readily available parking around some of the city’s most popular restaurants.

“The summer months are a slow time for restaurants and the strategy is to entice people to come to the Golden Triangle with dining specials and reasonable pricing for parking,” said Leona Agouridis,   executive director of the Golden Triangle BID.

“While we encourage people to take Metro, and know many will use valet services and the street meters, this opens up an additional option. It provides more parking capacity for people who drive.”

Lynne Breaux, president of the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington, applauded the Golden Triangle BID’s exciting summer program.

“The Golden Triangle BID’s ‘Dine Golden’ is a creative, cooperative approach to exposing greater numbers of diners to our fantastic downtown dining scene, that combined with facilitating the ease of nighttime parking” Breaux said “I think this will be a phenomenal success.”
