The event was sponsored by the National Associton the Specialty Food Trade who is once again bringing the Fancy Food Show to DC June 17 - 19, 2012.
The event was well attended and several past Duke Zeibert Honorees were present.

Former DC Mayor Anthony A. Williams Receives the 2012 Duke Zeibert Capital Achievement Award from the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington
TheRestaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) is excited to announce this year’s recipient of the Duke Zeibert Capital Achievement Award, former Mayor of the District of Columbia, Anthony A. Williams.
The Duke Zeibert Capital Achievement Award was presented this evening atThe Hamilton in downtown Washington, DC. Introduced by Councilman Jack Evans, a longstanding supporter of RAMW, was former Mayor Williams, whomheld two-terms as Mayor from 1999 to 2007 and remains one of Washington’s most beloved mayors and influential citizens. During his tenure, Mayor Williams laid the ground work for the economic vitality that we have in Washington today while understanding that restaurants were to play a major part in the resurgence of the region.
