Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington Names Keiristin Wilbert Communications Manager

 

Washington, DC (August 22, 2023) - Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), the trade association representing restaurants and the foodservice industry in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, names Keiristin Wilbert as its new Communications Manager. Established in 1920, RAMW is an advocate, resource, and community for its members.  In this role, Wilbert is the primary media contact for inquiries to Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington. She will manage RAMW’s member and consumer communications and social media, providing key information and services to the restaurant industry and amplifying the region’s dining scene.

Keiristin Wilbert has always been a supporter and advocate for restaurants and chefs. Wilbert is the creator and host of the culinary adventure television show “Bacon & Bellini Explores Culture and Cuisine”. Season 1 features restaurants and chefs in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. 

Wilbert is the former Editor of Potomac Lifestyle Magazine in Potomac, Maryland.  Most recently, Wilbert was an Entertainment Reporter, Digital Content Producer and Lifestyle Host of “The Louisiana Weekend” for Louisiana’s #1 news station, WAFB Channel 9, a CBS Affiliate television station in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  

Wilbert has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Mercer University where she was a member of the Mercer Debate Society.  

While she always enjoys a good brunch and exploring the restaurant scene, Wilbert also gives back to the community.  Keiristin Wilbert is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.  She is also a volunteer judge with the Washington Urban Debate League.

RAMW currently counts more than 1,400 businesses in its membership, including restaurants, food and hospitality vendors, and allied businesses who work within the industry. The regional organization is recognized as a key voice at the table working with elected officials, agencies, and the larger business community in DC, Northern Virginia, and Suburban Maryland.
