The NLRB's Impact on Non-Union Employers

September 18, 2015 - 12:00am

Throughout the year, the National Labor Relations Board has issued new rules and decisions, which limit employers’ rights to enforce routine workplace policies and procedures and resist union organizing efforts.  Leaders of Saul Ewing LLP’s Union Response Team, Partners Harriet E. Cooperman and Robert C. Nagle, will cover the following topics during this seminar:

  • Discussion of “ambush” election rule and how it has boosted union organizing efforts
  • Review of NLRB cases expanding employee rights and curtailing employers’ ability to enforce rules and policies regarding discipline and workplace decorum
  • Review latest guidance from NLRB General Counsel regarding employer policies governing employee use of social media and other policies commonly found in employee handbooks
  • Explain steps employers can take to minimize the impact of the Board’s actions

This seminar will take place at the Baltimore Comfort Inn and Suites, located at 6921 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd, Baltimore, MD.
