What Chefs Need to Know About Adopting a DC School
You have heard about First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Chefs Move! to Schools ” program, now you want to help and adopt a school. RAMW and Educated Eats have made the Move! to be a source of information to make this program a success in the DC Metro Area.
What to do next? Well, we have the resources and contacts for you.
Checklist for Chefs:
- Complete the Sign-up Form to be included in the Chefs Move to Schools program.
- Select a DC school from the list . Call and email the school liaison. Contact Jennifer Lehman at RAMW who can help you with the selection process and arranging the first introductory meeting.
- Complete the Volunteer Application and submit to DC Public Schools office.
- Update your Chef Profile once you are matched with a school in order to receive important communications from the program staff.
- Enjoy your new partnership with the school and students you have adopted. Helpful FAQs.
- Join the DC Chefs Committee and have a seat at the table. RSVP to Paula Reichel
