We Believe in Strengthening America’s Food Security by building resilient and sustainable food systems at a local and regional level. The Farmers Alliance bridges the gap between Farmer and Consumer by diversifying the supply chain with new markets and new producers, by increasing income streams for producers with value-adds like USDA organic certification, and by giving our small-to-medium sized producers a voice in Washington, DC.

At The Farmers Alliance, we are committed to strengthening America’s food security by diversifying local food systems, supporting small farmers, and expanding access to fresh, high-quality food. Recognizing the need to diversify local food systems with locally grown farm-to-table produce, we focus on connecting our regional farming communities with thriving farmers markets in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia region. Many rural producers face obstacles in obtaining reliable and fair buyers for their farm and ranch output, and we work to address these challenges by promoting local agriculture, reducing barriers, and ensuring farmers have the tools they need to succeed. Through advocacy, education, and direct support, we help grow a thriving agricultural sector that benefits both farmers and consumers, reinforcing the strength of our local economies and food supply.
