Survey: 2 in 5 DC restaurants to close this year
The survey, by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington, said “44% of D.C.’s full-service casual restaurants say they are likely to close in 2025 (11% very likely, 33% somewhat likely) as rising costs and tipped wage increases outpace revenue.”
The survey found higher costs, falling sales and widespread federal job cuts are reportedly to blame.
