Her Diner

Her Diner is a neighborhood queer restaurant and bar that provides a safe space for all people.  We offer casual American fare and inventive cocktails to diners while also providing a space to hold parties and events (including but not limited to fundraisers and private events). 

Our mission is to create an inclusive and welcoming space for all members of the LGBTQ+ Community and our local neighborhood and community.  We use the power of human interaction to welcome people from all walks of life to dine and drink with us. 

Kelly is the current owner of Her Diner along with her wife Kethida Laczko.  She ran the former popular neighborhood spot, Duplex Diner, as the General Manager for the past 10 years.  We had the unusual and incredible honor of rehiring almost everyone on our former staff.  Our staff really creates the vibe in the neighborhood queer space and we are so lucky we were able to keep our family plus grow by adding some amazing new people. 'Her' would be nothing without the staff and loyal clientele.  Since our grand opening on November 20th of this year the support of the community has been overwhelming and we are so truly lucky to have the support of the neighborhood and community. 

Prior to her role as owner of Her Diner, Kelly worked in the service industry as a bartender, server and host in various locations throughout DC. Additionally, Kelly has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from The George Washington University and also serves on the board of SMYAL, a local non-profit committed to serving the District's Queer Youth.
