14th Annual Chance for Life

Chance for Life was created in 2005 in honor of Kennedy Snyder, who was diagnosed with an aggressive spinal cord tumor at age 2. What began as a small get-together has become DC's best charity event experience - featuring a Texas Hold'Em style poker tournament, celebrity chef tasting, and Vegas-style after party. Chance for Life is proud to donate 100% of net proceeds benefit pediatric cancer research, without overhead costs and administrative fees.
What: A daytime poker tournament at MGM National Harbor precedes a mega tasting event curated by 2019 culinary chair Casey Patten. Expect bites from Gerald Addison and Chris Morgan(Compass Rose and Maydan), Kyle Bailey (The Salt Line), Erik Bruner-Yang (Brothers and Sisters and Spoken English), Gina Chersevani (Buffalo & Bergen), Adam Greenberg (Coconut Club), Haidar Karoum (Chloe), and more.
Details: The evening (starting at 6:30pm) includes auction items like MGM vacations and a Vegas-style afterparty with a surprise musical guest; last year it was Blues Traveler.
