After-Hours Open House

The Newseum and Destination DC invite you and a guest to an After-Hours Open House Wednesday, May 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Newseum (555 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W. Washington, DC 20001).
Enjoy light hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar at this private evening event! Plus, get a first look at upcoming shows and summer promotions from many of Washington, D.C.'s museums and attractions and explore the Newseum's latest special exhibits, including:
- "Reporting Vietnam": Powerful photos, music and artifacts tell the story of how journalists brought news about the Vietnam War to a divided nation.
- "President Lincoln Is Dead: The New York Herald Reports the Assassination": For the first time in 150 years, see all seven editions of the April 15, 1865 New York Herald reporting the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.
- "1965: Civil Rights at 50": 50 years after the civil rights movement, explore coverage of dramatic events, including "Bloody Sunday" and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 through news images and historic front pages.
