Denizens at The Daily Dish, A Beer Dinner

September 21, 2015 - 6:30pm to 9:30pm

On September 21, The Daily Dish is teaming up with Denizens Brewing Co for a fall beer dinner featuring the bounty of the seasons and Denizens brews. The Daily Dish’s Executive Chef/Owner Jerry Hollinger and Owner Zena Polin crafted a five course menu that perfectly pairs with five of the local brewery’s best selections.

The $70 dinner begins at 6:30 pm with Bocho Gose (Denizens’ take on a German-style sour wheat beer) and social starters, including grilled clams with roasted corn and smoked poblano pepper salsa; creamy tomatillo dip with daikon radish, pickled celery and crispy corn tortilla and green tomato and beet gazpacho shooters. Next up is Trainspotting Pale Ale and a spinach and roasted kale salad with sundried tomatoes, pine nuts, feta cheese and cilantro vinaigrette. Big Red Norm Red Ale meets grilled shrimp brochette, curried sweet potatoes and ground cherry chutney. Lowest Lord ESB is served with an entrée of roasted goat shoulder, celery root purée and roasted green and yellow cauliflower. Sweet and savory pair in the last course with Drie Day Brett White IPA. Grapefruit sorbet, kaffir lime panna cotta and assorted cheeses are chosen for this beer’s unique flavor.

Each beer will be introduced by Denizens Brewing Co-Owners Julie Verratti and Taylor Barnes, who will also mingle with guests. Giveaways including a tour of Denizens Brewing, logoed apparel, gift certificates, art by Jim Ritter and more. The five course dinner is $70 (exclusive of tax and tip). Reservations Required. Vegetarian options available. For reservations visit www.thedailydishrestaurant.com/denizens-beer-dinner.html.
