Sunday Supper at Union Market—created and hosted by and EDENS, one of the nation’s leading retail real estate companies, and in support of the James Beard Foundation—continues the tradition of gathering around the table to celebrate the people and passion behind great food. As with any true family meal, diners come together at Union Market around communal tables to connect with makers, creatives and Washington business leaders, along with the chefs, artisans and community advocates who are shaping our food-ways.

Sunday Supper is the primary benefit for the new Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (WEL) program. The program—initiated by EDENS’ CEO Jodie W. McLean and under the direction of the James Beard Foundation— is designed to identify, cultivate and advance the next generation of women business leaders. As part of the JBF’s efforts to target gender imbalance in the restaurant industry, and with the support of founding partner Women Chefs and Restaurateurs (WCR), the program seeks to address the drastically low percentage of women in executive and ownership positions in the food industry. This unique fellowship program is presented by Babson College, the nation’s leading school for entrepreneurship, and will allow women owners to gain the tools and financial training needed to open and operate thriving, scalable businesses.

By joining us on Sunday, June 3rd, your support will help ensure the success of this groundbreaking program.
