Protect Your Business From Pandemic-Related Employment Litigation

On Thursday, July 23, 3:00 p.m. EDT, the Association’s Restaurant Law Center welcomes Bob O’Hara and Paul DeCamp with Epstein Becker Green to discuss the various employment issues that, if not handled carefully, can lead to expensive litigation under a variety of federal, state, and local employment laws in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Presenters will also discuss discrimination and retaliation claims arising from an individual’s actual or perceived illness, exposure to the coronavirus, and requests for leave and accommodation.  O’Hara and DeCamp will share their analyses of various health and safety measures currently recommended or required by government agencies in addition to addressing wage and hour risks associated with work-from-home arrangements and how changes in staffing and job duties may affect exemption from overtime.
